Turkey international Cenk Tosun joined Everton in January 2018 on a four and a half year deal in a multi-million pound transfer. Rise to Fame

Born in Germany in 1991, Cenk Tosun is today a professional footballer who plays the position of striker not just for Everton but also the Turkish national team. Tosun started his career with the German Eintracht Frankfurt, where he mostly played for the reserves. His first sole team appearance occurred in May 2010 in the final game of the Bundesliga season. His talent was soon recognised and he transferred to Gaziantepspor in January 2011 for a whopping €400,000. He justified this price by winning the Spor Toto Cup in 2012.

By February 2014, he was signed by Beşiktaş for almost €500,000. Tosun made his first appearance in the international arena in 2013 and went on to play at the UEFA Euro 2016. In 2017-18, he led Beşiktaş to victory at UEFA Champions League, scoring four goals in just six games.
